Estimating

Customers can come in for an estimate usually between 9.00am and 5.00pm, or where circumstances dictate, Apex can carry out mobile estimating on site at the customer's location, whether at work or at home. We take digital images which are downloaded onto computer, where an electronic estimate is produced using industry standard estimating systems (Audatex, generating manufacturers repair times, or Thatcham repair data). The estimate and images are then electronically transmitted direct to the insurer for rapid authorisation of a repair.

Repair

Once the estimate is authorized, it is converted into a 'Job'. Using AutoManagement, the job is tracked through the repair process. On completion of the repair, the job is then invoiced to the insurer. Any type of repair can be carried out from major crash repairs to minor bumper repairs, cosmetic 'touch-up' jobs or complete resprays and bodyshell changes. We are equipped to repair major chassis damage and can straighten and re-align most vehicles. We do not repair rust damage.

Recovery

Apex has its own vehicle transporter for collection of undrivable vehicles. Collection is usually free for contract customers where the vehicle is repairable. In the event of it being considered beyond economical repair, the vehicle is held pending removal by the insurance company. We do not offer roadside or 24 hour recovery.

Apex can collect and deliver your vehicle free of charge within a 30 mile radius prior to and after repair, and will return it in a clean condition. You will be asked to call in personally if you are taking away or returning a courtesy car (see below).

Apex has a small fleet of group A courtesy cars which are availbale to drivers of certain insurance companies or work providers. Please contact us for details of availability and eligibility. Please note, terms and conditions apply. Customers will be asked to collect courtesy cars in order to complete the relevant documentation, and must show driving licence and insurance certificate. Charges apply to vehicles not returned promptly after the repair of their own vehicle. Not all customers will be entitled to receive a courtesy car. The car you are given may not be the car depicted below.

Bumpers and Plastic Repairs

We are able to repair most types of plastic bumpers and spoilers using plastic welding equipment. The repair is then prepared and painted in the normal way adding plasticisers in the refinishing process. Typical cost of repair is half the value of a new, replacement, bumper.

Motorbike and JetSki Repairs and Painting

Many of our staff are keen bikers and with our plastic repair and paint facilities, we are able to carry out cosmetic repairs to motorcycle fairings, side panels, paniers and tanks, as well as JetSkis. We do not carry out bike frame alignment, major crash repair damage or mechanical repairs.

We carry out most types of mechanical repair and maintenance associated with accident repair, e.g. suspension damage, replacement and realignment, etc. We can also perform routine servicing for private customers. Please enquite if this is something in which you are interested.

Advice and Third Party Claims

We are pleased to provide advice relating to accident repair or insurance claims, particularly if you have had a non fault accident. We can advise on how best to pursue your claim against the other driver, as well as put you in touch with the appropriate contacts who can represent your case and provide a like-for-like replacement vehicle.
